Experience Corporate Woodinville 2019
It was the second annual Experience Corporate Woodinville event this past Spring and we were thrilled to be a part of it again! Columbia Winery hosted us and the other awesome caterers on their exclusive list. Each section of the venue featured a different season, and we were lucky enough to be out on the sunny patio for the “Fall” themed area. Tolo Events designed and planned the theme and did a great job putting everything together. We got to work with a lot of talented event professionals as well and all the guests seemed to have a great time! Check our vendor team list at the bottom of this post. We hope you’ll join us next time in May 2020.
Our station highlighted some of our favorite cooler weather bites, which would be perfect for a fall or winter gathering or meeting.
Hors d’Oeuvres
-Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates: dates stuffed with blue cheese, wrapped in bacon, baked and drizzled with a balsamic reduction
-Chimichurri Steak Skewers: seared seasoned beef tender with chimichurri sauce
-Pear and Gorgonzola Crostini: caramelized d’Anjou pear butter, gorgonzola crumbles and crispy sage served on a warm toast point
After enjoying a crisp fall setting on the transparent tent-covered patio, guests stepped into the beautiful “Columbia Room” which was fully decorated for winter with muted Christmas tones and lots of sparkle and flair.
Meanwhile, downstairs in the “Barrel Room” was a fun mix of spring and summer with lots of bright colors and pops of flowers and sunshine! As you can see below, LightSmiths did an amazing job bringing a fun atmosphere to the space. It makes you really see how versatile this room is and you can turn this blank canvas into any setting you’d like!

Alumni Open House Special Event
We love being able to cater for all types of events and gatherings. This group of Alumni from Buckingham Browne & Nichols Upper School had a great time at their class reunion reminiscing, laughing, and just enjoying themselves with some good food and drinks. We were happy to be a part of this fun affair that brought old friends together from across the country!
A few words from our happy client: “I wanted to thank Twelve Baskets Catering for helping put on an amazing event! Everyone raved about the food and service. I appreciate all you did with quick responses and making it easy for me to trust a vendor across the country to have a successful event.”
Thanks to Danielle Barnum Photography for sharing these wonderful photos with us.
The group enjoyed some tray-passed Encrusted Beef Tip Bites and Goat Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms, then we opened a heavy hors d’oeuvres buffet with a Grilled Vegetable Platter, Herb Roasted Pork Tenderloin Crostini, Brie and Poached Pear Cups, Hummus Stuffed Cucumber Cup, Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates, Warm Artichoke and Parmesan Dip with house made pita chips, Smoked Chicken and Apple Crescents and Cilantro Spiced Prawns. Their dessert table consisted of our trio of bites: Brownie Bites, Meyer Lemon Bites, and Sweet & Salty Blondie Bites.

James and Veronica’s Fairytale Thornewood Castle Wedding
Thornewood Castle is pretty much the most unique wedding venue in the state of Washington. Brick by brick, this now 500 year old castle was brought over from England in the early 1900s and rebuilt using the original wood, bricks, paneling, stained glass, and other part. It took three ships to bring everything over to the Pacific Northwest! Not only is this amazing piece of architecture so beautiful, it is also located in the most beautiful, peaceful garden and waterfront setting. We love working at Thornewood, not only for the amazing charm but the current owners take such care in making sure every wedding is flawless. The landscaping is so perfect for the setting and there are countless romantic places to take photographs of the couple; it’s a photographer’s dream and Megan Montalvo obviously had a glorious time! We just love the images she captured! Continue reading “James and Veronica’s Fairytale Thornewood Castle Wedding”
Alissa and Dan – Green Gates at Flowing Lake
Dan and Alissa were married on a warm September day at Green Gates at Flowing Lake in Snohomish. So many sweet touches at this wedding (which Adina Preston captured beautifully!), but one of my favorite parts was their inclusion of a “family table” instead of the traditional sweetheart table, to be able to include a daughter. So sweet! Also, fun to note, this wedding was pretty much entirely gluten free besides the rolls. Even the wedding cake! Also, don’t you just love the color theme? The muted grays and blues are so gorgeous.

Experience Corporate Woodinville 2018
We had the honor of participating in the 1st Annual Experience Corporate Woodinville tour this past May and had so much fun meeting all kinds of event planners and working with an incredible team of pros. Most people think of weddings when they think of Woodinville venues, but many of these beautiful spaces also host great events for corporate or social gatherings and meetings! The day of the tour was perfect… nice and sunny, not too hot, blue skies and sunglasses all around. All the guests were saying how much they enjoyed viewing the venues, drinking wine, and eating all the tasty food at each location. One of the coolest parts of the event was that they asked guests to bring items to donate to local school programs who would give the items to those less fortunate in our communities. It was a huge success! We hope that we will have the opportunity to be a part of your next special event in Woodinville, so give us a call today!

Miller Hull 40th Anniversary and MarketFront Celebration
The city of Seattle has many famous tourist attractions, but the Public Market at Pike Place has always held a special place in the hearts of visitors far and as near as the city center itself! The Miller Hull Partnership has just extended the visitor capacity and ability for more artisans and vendors to take part in the market with the new MarketFront at Pike Place! This fabulous modern space has indoor and outdoor areas with gorgeous panoramic views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains; a perfect blend of city, culture, and nature. We were so pleased to be a part of Miller Hull’s 40th Anniversary party, being in good company just having celebrated 40 years ourselves, where they celebrated their history and hard work in the beautiful setting they created. We are hoping to be able to cater many more parties in this lovely venue! Continue reading “Miller Hull 40th Anniversary and MarketFront Celebration”
New Holiday Fall and Winter Menu
Our new 2017 Holiday Fall and Winter menus are available now! There are some exciting new additions and classic favorites.
Environmentally Friendly Catering
We love sourcing products and foods that support a sustainable future. Over the last couple years we have been working on getting rid of disposable plastic in our company as much as we can. We’ve been pleased to find amazing quality eco products that are not only good for the earth, but easy on the eyes too! Since last year we have been sending wood/fallen leaf and sugarcane products for our drop off catering, and it’s great to hear from the companies we source our products from that they are choosing to do good work! We love not needing to sacrifice style for sustainability! Let us know if we can provide some lovely platters for a gathering soon.
Here are some photos from some of our recent compostable drop off events (if it looks like plastic, it is not!) :
Here is some news we’ve received from the company PacknWood about their impact on reducing carbon emissions. We order a variety of products from them and have always been impressed with their merchandise. Click the icon below for more information.

PUGET SOUND CATERING NETWORK JOINS FORCES TO HELP FEED SEATTLE’S HUNGRY
16 PUGET SOUND CATERERS WILL PARTICIPATE IN A “CATERROUND FOOD DRIVE” THIS AUGUST
(Seattle, WA) During the month of August, 16 regional caterers will help give back to their neighborhood food banks of choice via the collection of non-perishable items for #Cater4Cans. Food will be donated by staff members, their vendors, and neighbors, who can drop off contributions to the participating businesses. Each Friday, the caterers will record the number of items they’ve collected along with the respective weight. Final weigh-in will be Thursday, August 31. Shortly thereafter, distribution will be made to food banks across the city.
The collection idea was hatched last summer, when catering company, DSquared, hosted an internal employee food drive and were able to collect about 500 items of food that was donated to Seattle’s YouthCare. The contribution provided a big win for both DSquared’s 150 employees and the organization.
In 2017, company owners, David Haggerty, Meg Haggerty, and David Meckstroth, decided to engage the entire Puget Sound catering community to see if they could make an even bigger impact. They reached out to their colleagues, via their industry group called CaterRound, and within a few days, 15 caterers jumped at the chance to join them. The catering companies are located across the region: from Georgetown to the south and north to Edmonds, Kirkland and Redmond on the Eastside, and even Puyallup. Nancy Donier, of Kaspars Catering and Special Events in Magnolia is an enthusiastic participant: “Giving back always sounds good to us and to do it with our peers…so much better.” Shelby Sewell of Foodz Catering in the SODO neighborhood says: “Our company is excited to participate. Cater4Cans will be great for team building while also helping our immediate community.”
“We really don’t know what to expect in terms of how much food we can collect in August,” says David Haggerty. “But we do know that giving is contagious and that the employees from all of these companies are really excited to take part in this friendly competition and most worthwhile endeavor. We hope that residents in these neighborhoods will help pitch in and drop off a can, or 4, to boost the impact that we can make.”
PARTICIPATING CATERERS AND FOOD BANKS: Please drop off non-perishables to these local businesses and they will deliver to the corresponding food banks!

Tiffany and Jeremy Robinswood House Wedding
Tiffany and Jeremy’s ceremony and reception at Robinswood House in Bellevue was a lovely coral, gold, and gray color theme with rustic modern accents and little succulent favors that tied into the floral design of the arrangements and bouquets. From the sweet little flower girls in white dresses and the bride and groom’s modern style to the glow stick dance party and late night snack sliders, this celebration was a perfect blend of the couple’s elegant yet fun-loving style. Besides having some great kid-friendly activities and books, the bride and groom also had some of their favorite yard games available post-ceremony for guests to enjoy the early summer weather, and by the end of the night you could tell that everyone was having the best time thanks to the thoughtful planning that went into this soiree! Twelve Baskets Catering featured on local Podcast

When Kim and Shannon from the PNW wedding podcast, Fom Ring to Veil, invited us to be on their show, I was a little nervous! I’m not the type who enjoys public speaking 😉 But since I got to be on the podcast with my dad and Twelve Baskets owner, John Bagge, it was so much fun and we’re grateful to have been a part of it! Kim and Shannon made it super easy and great – their blooming podcast is a wonderful tool and resource for anyone getting married or planning a big party.
Our episode just aired today and you can find it on their website or subscribe on iTunes to get each new episode and never miss a tip!
You can also follow along on From Ring to Veil’s Facebook or twitter for help planning your big day!

Jodi and Cameron – Green Wedding Shoes Feature
Our owners’ daughter, Jodi Bagge, was married last year at the woodsy and natural Woodland Meadow Farms wedding venue in Snohomish. After a beautiful ceremony where guests surrounded the couple in a circle, the entire wedding party loaded into a tractor drawn antique trailor and played instruments and sang songs to the bride and groom while the wedding guests drove caravan style down the country road behind them to Dairyland for the reception waving hand-made ribbon batons from their windows. The whimsical feel of the day was captured beautifully by Green Ginger Photography and we are honored to share the feature on Green Wedding Shoes wedding site here.

Random House – Outlander Retreat Seattle
Last weekend we had the opportunity of being a part of an awesome event at Fischer Pavillion at Seattle Center. Random House put on a retreat conference to celebrate New York Times bestselling author Diana Gabaldon’s new book in her Outlander series and we were so pleased to participate in the fun. We served an assortment of cheese from the British Isles and France, traditional Scottish breads, oatcakes, pickled onion, and chutneys, displayed dramatically with in-period decor, on silver and pewter platters with tartan accents, tray passed Mini Shepherds Pies, Smoked Salmon Oatcake Canape, Scottish Meatballs, Gazpacho Andaluz Shooters, and had Dessert Buffet of Scottish Shortbread Cookies, Lavender Fudge, Traditional Chocolate Fudge, and fruit kabobs with honey yogurt dip. It was a real medieval feast! We also served some fun non alcoholic beverages with ice cubes holding frozen herbs and berries – what a cute look. Our team had so much fun putting this event together and loved being able to create such a dreamy and magical set up. The staff on hand at the event had a blast as well; we even had traditional Scottish outfits on our bartenders – which of course the guests absolutely loved!
The biggest compliment we received that day were all of the photographs being taken on handheld devices and guests’ smartphones. We knew we had made an impression!
Can’t wait to check out the new Starz series starting August 9th. But first, need to pick up a copy of Outlander to read 😉

Mary and Kerry, Cle Elum WA – Seattle Wedding Catering
Mary and Kerry love their DAWGS so much they decided to have a UW Husky Tailgate themed wedding! Their colors were shades of purple and yellow and every little detail worked right into their theme from the beautiful yellow bridesmaid dresses and purple floral arrangements to the fresh lemonade and sprigs of lavender tucked into the napkins at each place setting. The private cabin they chose for their ceremony and reception was just breathtaking. They were married overlooking Cle Elum Lake and their reception tent was surrounded by tall trees and lots of natural beauty. Seattle Farm Tables was an obvious choice to go with the fun PNW feel the couple was looking for – and the tables added so much to the look of the reception. And the Lemonade stand?! SO cute! You’ll need to scroll down right now to look at it… go on, I’ll wait… CUTE right!?!?! I could go on and on about all the lovely little details, and the amazing photos taken by One Love Photo, but I should also point out the awesome thing they did for their favors(I guess I should say lack of favors) – they had donations made in their guests honor to an organization in Africa called The Last Ten Kilometers project that is working on improving health care in rural areas of Ethiopia. What a cool idea.
