Thornewood Castle is pretty much the most unique wedding venue in the state of Washington. Brick by brick, this now 500 year old castle was brought over from England in the early 1900s and rebuilt using the original wood, bricks, paneling, stained glass, and other part. It took three ships to bring everything over to the Pacific Northwest! Not only is this amazing piece of architecture so beautiful, it is also located in the most beautiful, peaceful garden and waterfront setting. We love working at Thornewood, not only for the amazing charm but the current owners take such care in making sure every wedding is flawless. The landscaping is so perfect for the setting and there are countless romantic places to take photographs of the couple; it's a photographer's dream and Megan Montalvo obviously had a glorious time! We just love the images she captured! Continue reading "James and Veronica’s Fairytale Thornewood Castle Wedding"

Tiffany and Jeremy’s ceremony and reception at Robinswood House in Bellevue was a lovely coral, gold, and gray color theme with rustic modern accents and little succulent favors that tied into the floral design of the arrangements and bouquets. From the sweet little flower girls in white dresses and the bride and groom’s modern style to the glow stick dance party and late night snack sliders, this celebration was a perfect blend of the couple’s elegant yet fun-loving style. Besides having some great kid-friendly activities and books, the bride and groom also had some of their favorite yard games available post-ceremony for guests to enjoy the early summer weather, and by the end of the night you could tell that everyone was having the best time thanks to the thoughtful planning that went into this soiree! Thanks to Alyssa Wilcox Photography for the beautiful images!

Grace and Tai tied the knot at Jardin Del Sol in Snohomish on a lovely Saturday in August. Katie Slayton from Sprinkled in Seattle helped plan and coordinate this beautiful celebration and we just love the way it turned out! Twelve Baskets provided hors d'oeuvres and a family-style dinner al fresco. Shane Welch did an amazing job on the photos; they are absolutely stunning! The couple chose a PNW color theme of blues, greens, white and taupe with rustic elegant decor and light airy florals.

Allison and David had a gorgeous day for their wedding at Trinity Tree Farm. And the couple put together some beautiful decor elements that made such a huge impact on the atmosphere of the celebration, including the florals and centerpieces! The bride also made 1000 tiny folded paper cranes as one of the sweet traditions they included in their wedding day. Check out these beautiful photos from the talented Vail Studio!

Eric and Alicia were married at Snohomish's lovely Dairyland venue. It was a crisp Saturday in April and the weather held up beautifully! Blue skies and sunshine shone down on this sweet couple's special day. Another sweet unexpected detail - the groom surprised the bride with the super cool Shutter Bus Photo Booth after the ceremony! We were able to supply some beautiful displays to make their market theme really stand out and Dairyland's gorgeous interior and exterior was the perfect backdrop for the day!

Keith and Alison had a beautiful, intimate, un-plugged May wedding at Robinswood House in Bellevue on a quiet Thursday evening(weekday weddings are becoming more and more popular!) and their color palette highlighted the natural beauty of the garden surrounding their ceremony and reception. After a tray-passed app and cocktail hour, the couple celebrated their wedding with a delicious dinner with friends and family and danced into the still-lit night of our late northern sunsets. Our owners' daughter, Jodi Bagge, was married last year at the woodsy and natural Woodland Meadow Farms wedding venue in Snohomish. After a beautiful ceremony where guests surrounded the couple in a circle, the entire wedding party loaded into a tractor drawn antique trailor and played instruments and sang songs to the bride and groom while the wedding guests drove caravan style down the country road behind them to Dairyland for the reception waving hand-made ribbon batons from their windows. The whimsical feel of the day was captured beautifully by Green Ginger Photography and we are honored to share the feature on Green Wedding Shoes wedding site here.
Cathy and Ethan had their ceremony and reception at the Mercer Island Community Center. We just love all the fun vintage-themed DIY touches throughout the detail shots! Beautiful photographs by Anda Photography.
There were some guests with Celiac disease and the bride and groom made sure to have some options for them... 2 kinds of hard Cider and some gluten free dinner and dessert items as well!
Here is the yummy menu they chose:
Grilled Flank Steak
local Blue Mesa Ranch steaks marinated in red wine, garlic and our special blend of spices, then seared to perfection over an open flame and served with our tri-peppercorn & sherry sauce
Grilled Rosemary Chicken Breast
chicken breast marinated in white wine and fresh herbs, served with a fine herb & white wine sauce
Stuffed Bell Peppers
stuffed with wild rice and sautéed vegetables, topped with a three cheese blend
Roasted New Potatoes
baked in fresh herbs, garlic and extra virgin olive oil
Strawberry Spinach Salad
fresh baby spinach tossed with toasted almonds, gorgonzola, and sliced local strawberries then drizzled with house made white balsamic and poppy seed dressing

Our owners, John and Jamie Bagge's youngest daughter was married at Woodland Meadow Farms early May and had their reception at the site's new sister venue, Dairyland. It was the perfect day with the rain holding off at just the right moments and our whole team did an incredible job pulling off the most beautiful wedding ever (we might be biased, but it sure felt like it!). Vancouver based Green Ginger Photography did the most amazing job photographing this very special event and they sent us some stunning sneak peek pics that we would love to share with you! There were so many little details that were so carefully and preciously put together, but we'll save that for the next post when we receive more photos from the photographer - You'll just have to wait!

Ben and Annica were wed at Sanders Estate in Auburn with their family and friends surrounding them - and what a beautiful and colorful wedding it was. Thanks to Erin Schedler Photography for these fabulous images that perfectly captured the special moments and gorgeous details(like the DIY dessert table!) that this couple worked on!
